Maxicare Healthcare Corporation‘s commitment to continuous quality service is part of its corporate DNA, playing an important role in delivering quality healthcare nationwide. Proof of this commitment came recently when Maxicare was granted ISO 9001:2008 Certification for Customer Care and Primary Care Center (Makati Medical Center), meeting the strict requirements set by the International Organization for Standardization.
ISO certification means that
- quality is constantly measured;
- procedures are documented and well-defined, thus improving the consistency of outputs; and
- obsolete and inefficient practices are identified and eventually replaced.
“The main goal of management for having achieved the ISO 9001 certification is to achieve quality,” says Maxicare CEO Jose Pastor Z. Puno. “Many companies offer different products and services; but it is the organization that puts out the best products and services, with quality in mind, that succeeds.”
As Maxicare continues to achieve ongoing improvement and efficiency, Maxicare customers can expect improved quality of product and service performance. The awarding of ISO 9001:2008 will also increase morale, job satisfaction, and improve communications among Maxicare staff, further maintaining their commitment to quality and customer service.
Maxicare would like to thank Neville Clark, the consulting and coaching firm that helped Maxicare in its transition to a become an ISO company, and TUVRheinland, the body that granted the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) certification.
