OMG! Virtual butterfly known as Ibutterfly can be seen fluttering by in real world? Is it possible? These are questions that invading my mind before the day of Ibutterfly launch in The Block at SM North EDSA. I feel so curious seeing certain augmented butterfly flying inside the building or wherever maybe. In the first place, I was also bothered to attend that Ibutterfly event because I don’t have smartphone or even a tablet that time. Well, as a blogger, I need to attend and see what are the things that can surprises me seeing that colourful virtual butterflies surrounding you upon seeing them.
When I was there already at the event venue(The Block), I feel the crowd and cheerful atmosphere because they are enjoying the Ibutterfly launch. The crowd is enjoying because Ibutterfly launch is not just a simple event but an amazing party which you can enjoy the remix music of DJ Arkin. And it was hosted by well-known TV host and Actor Raymond Gutierrez and DJ Roanna Ruiz of Jam 88.3. I was intrigue with those in the crowd… And then when I was already staying at the front side of the crowd; my eyes are twinkling, why? The event was star-studded because many celebrities are enjoying the event especially the Magalona Family. Maxene and Saab are busy catching Ibutterfly that time when I was arrived. There are some personalities who are there also like the sisters Lauren and Liz Uy, their friends Robbie Becroft, Michael Concepcion, Carlos Concepcion, some member of General Luna band, and a funny Bogart D’Explorer.
Since, I don’t have smartphone to use in catching Ibutterfly, I borrow the phone of my fellow blogger Azrael Coladilla in order to experience the real fun in catching those Ibutterflies. Upon catching it, every time that I catches butterfly, I feel the real fun and guest what? IT WAS PRETTY ADDICTED CATCHING THOSE IBUTTERFLIES… I love it… Because of that, I bought an IPAD just to install that Ibutterfly app and go in SM malls in order to catch those beautiful Ibutterflies. Just last weekend, I was there at SM North catching Ibutterfly and got some exciting coupons. But I do not redeem it yet.

How it Works? Ibutterfly is augmented reality in which you can see it in the real world using your smartphones and tablets. It was motion sensors through using your smartphone in catching it. And it uses also GPS(Global Positioning System) in order to find or track the I butterflies.
How to catch iButterfly? Download the application by connecting to the free SM Wifi or the SM iButtefly SSIS or use your 3G connection. Download the App via Google Play and App Store – Search for the iButterfly Asia App. Then, once Downloaded, open the App and start catching iButterflies.
