It’s a big night for the cast and production of the Movie Deep Gold at Newport Cinema in Resorts world. Star studded nights with the production team of Big Foot production including the media are gathered to watch the premiere. I was so grateful to be a part of this event. I met lot of big personalities and acquainted with them.
I enjoyed the cocktail party before viewing the movie. And at the movie, I was impressed in the 3D set up and I enjoyed the whole scenes of the movie. The plot is simple but it gave a genre of giving quality movie that shoots here in our country. Well, I’m proud of this movie because it was shoots here in our country and features the beauty of Cebu. This is a great movie that we must proud of because it was partly promoting the tourism in Cebu.
“Deep Gold” A thickly-covered action film that serves up their audience of a throwback to classic 90’s action flicks genre -a begrudgingly big step back into this classic feature that people a decade ago loved- a homage of sorts to Andy Sidaris’ type of flicks. When free-drivers Amy Sanchez (Bebe Pham) and her sibling, Jesse Sanchez teamed up in search for Amy’s boyfriend Tony dela Cruz, an Air Force Pilot who sunk into the middle of the sea with tons of gold. As the sisters track the trails of Tony’s mysterious disappearance, they uncover pieces of truth that lead to unsuspected circumstances. The story was said to have been rooted in Filipino post-war folklore about hidden treasures.
Gleissner take on this classical style, whilst not offering the best in movies, is fresh and doesn’t involve overly-cheesy dialogues or stare-downs, and on top of that, action sequences are top-notch and are visually impressive (because of Bebe Pham, mostly).
